![]() ![]() Once arrived at Binjai bus station, you have to take a tuk-tuk costing 5,000 IDR to Tanah Lapang Binjai terminal or you can stop directly at Binjai Supermall and take the bus there! You have to take 2 different bus to reach Bukit Lawang:įirst take the local ALS bus (Antar Lintas Sumatera/orange color) from Medan Aiport to Binjai, it takes around 2 hours and cost around 50,000 IDR per person. Choosing this kind of transportation will be an unforgettable adventure as you will share the bus with local people, it’s cheaper, but it takes longer and it's not really comfortable. Travellers on a smaller budget can opt for the public bus to go to Bukit Lawang. So we will pick you up and drop you to your guesthouse (around 10-20 min of walk).We will also pick up your luggage by motorbike. Same for your return from Bukit Lawang to Medan, Berastagi or Lake Toba. ![]() As most of the guesthouses are located next to the river, they can only be reached by foot. Once in Bukit Lawang, wheter you arrive at the Gotong Royong bus station or are dropped off at the entrance of the riverside walk, we will pick you up. If you are doing a roundtrip in Sumatra, you can come from Berastagi (5 hours) and Lake Toba (7 hours) to Bukit Lawang but also go from Bukit Lawang to Berastagi and Lake Toba but also Singkil or Banda Aceh by private car or tourist bus (shared minivan). If you are coming from Medan city / Kualanamu airport there are two means of transportation to go to Bukit Lawang : you can either take the cheap public bus or book a private car with us! Or late flights, it will only takes about 3 hours by private car to go to Bukit Lawang! It takes approximately 3 to 5 hours from the Kualanamu airport to Bukit Lawang depending on trafficīut also on the time and the day at which you travel. Once you are in North Sumatra, you have to reach to small village of Bukit Lawang,Īt the entrance of the Gunung Leuser National Park! ![]()
